May 30th was the deadline for comments on the proposed land lease rate increase for Anchorage and Fairbanks International Airports. All leases to include the east ramp at Fairbanks and Lake Hood would have been affected.  Meetings were initiated, organized and held with leaseholders and other interested parties in Anchorage and Fairbanks.  It worked!  The Airmen hand delivered over 35 responses to Keith Day, Controller, Alaska International Airport Systems.  On June 3rd we had official notice that the rate increase had been cancelled.

Following is the memo we received from Mr. Day.  We would like to thank the department for their  timely consideration of this matter.  The State's decision not to move forward with the proposed increase is welcomed news to the General Aviation community.
